Peace Action Maine
The state’s largest peace organization has worked for 25 years to promote peace through grassroots organizing, citizen education, and issue advocacy. Peace Action Maine is an affiliate of National Peace Action.

Peace Action Maine is a voice of education and a center for all people committed to disarmament and creative responses to conflict. Principles:
- We strive to involve community members in our decision-making processes and the day-to-day work of the organization.
- We work to promote the skills and abilities of all concerned people to more effectively work on our issues and other issues of concern to them.
- We seek to be a source of information and inspiration for all who would stand for peace.
We bring to our work a deep and lasting commitment to nonviolence, justice, and the empowerment of all people. Out of this commitment grows a necessity to educate in a manner that both promotes and models our values.
